Inspiration from a beautiful secret wedding

I post photos from many of my weddings here on my blog but if the couple want privacy that is always respected. The couple above married at Västerledskyrkan in Bromma, Stockholm and I just love the photo of them entering the church! Backlit photos are very often my favourites!

My friends are getting married - here is some inspiration!

vigselring-guld Me and my husband met with friends today and they are getting married this summer! Unfortunately - and I HATE to say this - we won't be able to be there because I have a destination wedding abroad that week. Of course I REALLY look forward to shooting that wedding (it will be awesome! ) but being a wedding photographer who works most Saturdays during the summer sometimes makes private planning a bit difficult. But, I am happy talking about all the planning with the bride to be and today's topic was among other things..... gold, diamonds and wedding rings! She talked about having five diamonds, one for each family member, and here is a classic style that never goes out of fashion, a wedding band with diamonds 5 x 0,2 ct. These pics were shot during a wedding in 2007.

Marie & Johan - Lovingly Awaiting

lovingly-awaiting-1 A couple of month ago I met with this couple for a very private photo session when they were expecting their child. Today I know it was a cute little baby boy and I am soooo happy they let me show their photo here on my combined blog and web site.

Photographers note: I used only natural light from the windows using Canon 5D MarkII with lenses Canon 50mm f1.4 and Canon 135 mm f2.0L.

Spring time wedding 2009 - Happy Anniversary!

bloglovin bloglovinThis Saturday a year ago was a perfect spring day for a wedding, and what a wedding it was when this gorgeous couple got hitched at Såstaholm Gård in Täby, Stockholm! Happy anniversary!

Photographers note: The effect was created by using a Lens Baby on my Canon 5D MarkII body. Only colours, levels and contrasts have been altered in Photoshop.

Sarah's & Olle's wedding at Hammarby Sjöstad 2

When I had had the booking appointment with Sarah and Olle in September last year they said that they shouldn't really have a theme for the wedding and that they didn't want to make a big thing of it in terms of planning. But when they showed up on the wedding day I have to say that everything was so thought through with a beautiful spring bouquet with buttercups, roses, peonies and blueberry twigs, bright pink shoes (!) and even matching braces! Sarah was beautiful and the team at Puder had done a really good job!

When I left the chapel at Hammarby Sjöstad I met the rest of the wedding party and I just had to say hi to them and take a few photos of them as well. Luckily for me the light in the pretty crowded stairway to the second floor was quite okay for some 30 seconds of shooting!

Sarah's & Olle's wedding at Hammarby Sjöstad 1

It's spring time and yesterday I had the first of many wedding this spring and summer. And what a start! Sarah, I hope you don't mind me saying this but girl, you're soooo wrong! You definately know how to work it in front of the camera and the camera loves you, there's no doubt! As promised I post these first photos today but I will post some more photos later when I have had the time to post process them!

The photo on the left below was the last photo from the portrait session and I love, love, love it!

For all photographers who follow my blog I can mention that when I came home I realized that this is the first time I actually have used only one lens for all portrait shots. All photos - except the photos on the rings - were shot using Canon 135 mm f2.0L on my Canon 5D MarkII body. For detail shots I used Canon 100mm f2.8 macro.

Sara & Anneli - I look forward to meeting you!

bloglovin bloglovin I have got soooooo many more e-mails from photographers all over Sweden than I had expected - and I looove it! I really would like to meet you all - and who knows, it might happen some day! - but for now I can only promise to let two of you come along during weddings this season. How did I choose? Well, I have actually stuck to what I wrote initially so I have selected two persons which have proven that they love wedding photography! Who they are...? Anneli Larsson and Sara Landstedt! I really look forward to meet you! Please call me to find a date (you have my phone no. in my reply by e-mail)!

And of course, a photo from today's wedding at Hammarby Sjöstad. I will post more pictures from this wedding soon to prove the bride wrong... She told me she doesn't photograph well but she definately doesn't know what she's talking about, because she is absolutely stunning!

Photographers - only a couple of days left to apply!

When I launched my new blog I gave you the opportunity to come with me on a real wedding, see this post. I have received sooo many nice emails and by the end of the week I will announce the name, or names..., of  those who will get the chance to spend a day practising and discussing all aspects of wedding photography with me. And yes... the last picture below is a photo of me in action, shot by my great wedding photographer colleague and friend Anna Roström at Smallpigart. The result from my crawling on the floor? Well, you can see it above, the photo of the wedding rings!

Lindísima Aubergine Wedding Inspiration

I don't think anyone can miss that I love colours and I have to admit that such a simple thing as a colourful flower - or in this case a vegetable! - always cheers me up. Now a special message to my husband follows: No, an orange carrot as present doesn't make me smile the same way as a delicate spring flower!
