Give a gift certificate as this year's christmas present!
It's only a couple of weeks to go and I suppose you have found the perfect christmas gift for all your friends and family already! Haven't you? Neither have I!
Well, let me give you an idea, why don't you give your friend, mother, sister, brother or the love of your life a gift certificate for a photo shoot in 2011! It could be an individual session or you could do it together! If you buy seven gift certificates for SEK 500 each you will get a value of SEK 3,500, but as a christmas offer you'll pay only SEK 3,300. Photo sessions start at SEK 3,300.
Oscar the baby - the one and only master of the Wibergs
Today I have had a really busy but also very inspiring day with two photo shoots that turned out to be just great, despite the very dull and grey weather. I won't post a long story with a lot of words this time but I want to share a few goodies from the first session. Just a few words to go with the photos: Oscar is without doubt the one and only true master of the Wiberg family! And he is so adorable!
Stockholm Fotomässa - Spreadbook Online Albums
Tomorrow is the first day of this year's photo fair in Stockholm and I sure will go there! Some time ago I was asked to participate in a number of test albums from 8 different brands and I really look forward to see the result. You will find the albums and my photos in Spreadbook's show-case at B18:09. The first and last of these photos are the albumdesign layouts that are included in all 8 albums.
This winter's first white wedding - a night at the castle
It's soon Christmas time - Välkomna på Julmingel!
I usually write in English but this time it's an invitation to all our Swedish friends and colleagues. Come and meet us and have some fun! And yes, we would love to see all of you there! Contact Erika by e-mail and let us know if you'll come.
Soft colour during an October sunset - photos just for myself
Yesterday I uploaded some photos at my Facebook profile and I have actually got a couple of questions about my equipment by e-mail. So, instead of just replay by e-mail I thought I could post something here as well. What camera and lens did I use? I have a Canon EOS 5D MarkII and this time I only used one lens for all photos, Canon 85 mm f1,2. I hadn't planned to take any specific photos, instead I just took my camera and one lens and went out for a very short walk close to SAS Radisson Frösunda at Hagaparken. It was just before sunset and the sky had a wonderful colour which gave a soft pink touch also to the water. One might think I was inspired by my friend and great colleague Erika Gerdemark, who is the master of soft colours, but the light and colours were in fact just like this. I have only given the photos some extra warmth and contrasts in Lightroom, that's all!
Another black & white boudoir session - for your own sake
I shoot a lot of boudoir sessions and I love it, but I can't post boudoir photos here on the blog that often. Why? Because of their private nature of course and the fact that most clients want to keep their photos private. Today though, this gorgeous lady told me I could show you some of her photos from her session some time ago. She was very nervous when we met but her presence in front of the camera was something special, she literally transformed and turned into what you can see here. She is great and so could you be - you don't need a special reason to book a boudoir sesssion, you can do it for your own sake!
I got a question - why did I chose to be a photographer?
I just love to get e-mails with new inquiries but what I love even more is to get e-mails from previous clients when they tell me they love my photos! Recently, I get an e-mail from a boudoir session client and she tells me her new husband just loved the photos I took of her before their wedding. But this time I didn't just get nice comments about my work but also a question about how I began my business as a photographer. My honest answer to that question? I don't really know, I just did what I liked to do and before I knew it I had a business! But, what I do now is that I have always, since I was a little girl, loved beautiful things and yes, weddings are the most perfect events for someone who loves real emotions, happy people and good looking clients (yes, all brides and grooms look gorgeous on their wedding day!)! Have I studied photography? No. Did I have a lot of experience when I took on my first assignment? No (actually, I don't understand how I dared to do it!). Have I ever had a mentor in the business? No. And finally, do I love what I do, am I inspired by the love in the air around me and am I happy tonight, full of inspiration? YES!
And of course I can't write a blog post without also posting some photos, so here are some from one of my weddings in August! The photos above are from the couple's first look, real emotions and love!
A December wedding to look forward to - a preview!
In December, I will tell a story with my photos. I will tell a story about a sweet couple very much in love when I follow Åsa and Carl Henrik during their wedding day. I will capture Åsa's transformation into a - without doubt! - very beautiful bride, I will be there when they say "I do", and I will be with them and their friends during the reception. From a photographer's perspective I think they might be the perfect couple to photograph. How do I know? Just look at the preview from their pre shoot a couple of days ago! They came to me in Solna in late afternoon and I picked a place which gave us perfect, perfect, perfect light! Did I say I loved the light?
Photographer's note: Canon EOS 5D Mark II with lenses 85 mm f1.2, 50 mm f1.4 and Lensbaby 3.0, post processing in Lightroom only.
