Lindísima Wedding Photography - 5 month later...

When I first met with Stephanie and Christian at their booking appointment in July 2009 they had plans to get married in Stockholm in June 2010. But, it turned out that they got married in New York at New Year's Eve 2009 instead. The question then was whether they still should let me take the photos to celebrate their love and guess if I felt lucky when they did!

Stephanie's parents are from Taiwan but she grew up in the US and now lives in Solna. Christian currently lives in Belgium but in a month they will both move to New York so they will never have to be away from each other again!

We decided to meet near Slussen at 6 pm a couple of days ago and the evening sun is amazing..... just look at the photo below shot with Canon EOS 5D MarkII and 85mm f1.2L (wide open)!

Lindísima Photography - let's talk about it!

A couple of days ago I met Emily and Natalie to talk about photography and my work as a wedding photographer for a school project. They did an inteview with me and despite the fact that they filmed it - I don't like to be in front of the camera... - it was really nice to meet them!  Of course I then had to take a few photos!

Wedding at Grand Hôtel, S:t Jacob and Bååt's palace

Susanna and Peter got married on the first day of summer in Stockholm. The sun was shining from a clear blue sky and when I met with Susanna at Grand Hôtel for her preparations one could look at Stockholm city at its best from their balcony. She had picked a dress from Atelier Diagonal and it made her glow, it was just perfect for her! Do you want to know what was in the huge box from Tiffany's? Well, so do I, it was a wedding day gift to them and I couldn't avoid to notice the classic Tiffany colour.

Susanna and Peter, congratulations to both of you!

The wedding planner Carina Sturesson at Carisma Bröllopskonsulterna did a great job throughout the day!

From now on I think I should advice all future grooms to take a look at Peter's outfit. He definately has earned a golden star in the photographer's heaven because of his hat and other details!

When Susanna was asked by the priest before the wedding if she could define the word love, she simply said "Love is Peter". I don't think she had to say it because it's very obvious from the photo below.

Last but not least, thanks to both my friend and fellow photographer Åsa Deleau Wiklund and to my husband Teno for assisting me during different parts of the day!

Teaser from today's sunny Stockholm wedding!

Just as I thought today's wedding was great! The couple must have been blessed by the sun because when I woke up this morning the sun was shining on a clear blue sky. It truly was a spring wedding and I sure will post a lot of photos from this wedding. But for now, here is a teaser!

Just for me, just because I wanted to be inspired...

Tomorrow I will have a long day of wonderful work - one boudoir session at Grand Hôtel in the morning followed by a 6 hour wedding which I know will be fantastic. Today however, was one of those rare days when I take pictures just for me, just because I want to... I spent 30 minutes today sitting under the cherry trees in Kungsträdgården doing nothing and it was the best thing I have done in a long time!

Wedding at Engelbrektskyrkan - Johanna & Dennis

Dennis proposed to Johanna 8 May 2009 and exactly one year later, 8 May 2010, they said "I do" at Engelbrektskyrkan in Stockholm. Johanna was beautiful and the team at Arnelids did a great job with her hair and makeup. Johanna hadn't booked me for preparation photos, but I actually went to see her anyway because I passed by on my way to the last minute photo session planning. Was that a good thing...? YES, because I got these shots on my 15 minutes visit!

They had planned for a sunny spring wedding but the dark grey rain clouds didn't agree! So, even though we actually started the portrait session outdoors, after a while we had to go to plan B. But of course, we couldn't miss to take some photos under a beautiful pink cherry tree!

Johanna assured me she doesn't photograph well and that she wouldn't look like all the other model-look-alike-brides I have on my blog. Well, what can I say, I sure think she's one of them!

Less than a week ago I bought a lens I have thought of buying for a long time, Canon 85 mm f1.2L. I used it for all portraits above, for some of the detail photos and also for some of the photos in the church. It's heavy, VERY slow and using f1.2 most of the time really is a challenge, but for portraits I love it!

Lindísima weddings 2010 - there's a good thing going!

Yup, now it's a fact... I only have brides with an exquisite sense of style and in addition, they all look good! Today Johanna was "my" bride (well, to be honest one could say that she was Dennis' bride, but you know what I mean!) and she had chosen these gorgeous wedding shoes to go with her bouquet. As you might know by now I LOVE coloured wedding shoes and these definately weren't an exception! And Johanna...? Yes, she looked stunning, don't you think! And yes, I will post more photos in a couple of days!

Photographers, all these photos except the one with the bouquet were shot with my new good friend... my Canon 85 mm f1.2L lens! So far I love it, but gosh, f1.2 for portraits really gives an ultra short depth of field!

Inspiration from a beautiful secret wedding

I post photos from many of my weddings here on my blog but if the couple want privacy that is always respected. The couple above married at Västerledskyrkan in Bromma, Stockholm and I just love the photo of them entering the church! Backlit photos are very often my favourites!

My friends are getting married - here is some inspiration!

vigselring-guld Me and my husband met with friends today and they are getting married this summer! Unfortunately - and I HATE to say this - we won't be able to be there because I have a destination wedding abroad that week. Of course I REALLY look forward to shooting that wedding (it will be awesome! ) but being a wedding photographer who works most Saturdays during the summer sometimes makes private planning a bit difficult. But, I am happy talking about all the planning with the bride to be and today's topic was among other things..... gold, diamonds and wedding rings! She talked about having five diamonds, one for each family member, and here is a classic style that never goes out of fashion, a wedding band with diamonds 5 x 0,2 ct. These pics were shot during a wedding in 2007.
