Sirikitt & Bo at Ulriksdal's chapel and Stallmästaregården

This couple had asked for romantic portraits and what place could be better this rainy day than a greenhouse! They got married at Ulriksdal's chapel and I had arranged so the portraits could be taken at Sommarsalongen, which kind of saved the day when the rain started to pour down! Sirikitt and Bo, you were great and I hope you enjoy your photos. You have plenty more to wait for, but here are the first ones!

Before the sky opened up we also took some shots with an umbrella, so we really could take advantage of the beautiful garden with all its coulours.

Yet another photo with a lot of colours! Yes, it rained, but the soft light really makes it easy to bring out vibrant colours in a photo.

Ulriksdal is one of my favourite wedding chapels and it gets even better with beautiful flower arrangements. Here below you can see how the groom awaits his wife to be to enter the church with her father.

After the ceremony the newly weds and all of their guests took a boat ride to the reception. The weather could have been better, but all the guests were in good mood and had a great time anyway!

The reception was held at Stallmästaregården and the decorations and details were lovely!

Anneli Larsson assisted me during this wedding and I want to send a special thank you! Especially when it's raining, a good assistant is worth a lot!

A very rainy 7 August wedding sneak preview

Considering the heavy rain in Stockholm, yesterday's wedding couples will all have very happy marriages, and there's no doubt that applies to my couple! They were so sweet and I think we were quite lucky after all because during the photo session the rain was actually quite moderate (compared to the late afternoon outdoor shower!). Both the bride and groom looked stunning!

Moments of peace, feeling alive in every breath

Even though I love what I do, I have had too much work this year and it's really starting to feel that I need some time for myself. Time to relax, to be alone without e-mail and internet and time to just breath and feel. It will take more that a couple of days but this week those days on my own felt like a life line. This week I went to Vargas Vildmarkslodge and spent a day and a night in a bear watching hide. Yes, we did get to see the wild bears in their natural habitat and a huge one got really close, only 4-5 meters from the hide. But, they came in the middle of the night and it was pitch black, so there was no way I could get any decent photos in that non existing light. But, at early day break I sat completely quiet in the middle of the forest and just..... lived.

The photos in the foggy forest were shot with Canon 100-400 mm f4.5-5.6L and for the photos below I used Canon 100 mm f2.8 macro.

I've got a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night!

Yesterday I photographed a fantastic wedding couple at Rånäs slott and even though it's impossible to go through all photos in one day I just have to give you this preview of what's to come later! Emma and Magnus, I'm absolutely sure that you did have a good night all night long and I hope you like these first photos from your day as much as I do! I loved to shoot your wedding and it was pure pleasure to be your wedding photographer!

Do you remember this post about being my assistant during a wedding? The Jönköping based wedding photographer Sara Landstedt was one of the lucky and she was my assistant during this 6 hour shoot. Thanks Sara for your company yesterday!

Anna & Olivier - Swedish/French love at Oscarskyrkan

I have posted a few photos of this couple previously but I definately want to show you "a few" more, so here they are! Anna and Olivier got married July 10 and it was a beautiful day and a one of a kind wedding! Need I say that this happy couple loved to be in front of my camera? Well I don't think I have to, because it's obvious thay they enjoyed every part of their day!

Do you think this blog post is too long? Well, hang in there and don't miss the great portraits at the end!

When Anna and Olivier had left the church there was complete confusion about what they and the guests should do. So, instead of go hiding for the traditional rise/rose petals moment in front of the church when all the guests have gathered, the congratulations started at once and it got very (!) crowded just outside the church. But, who cares when the couple look as happy as this couple do!

On our way from Oscarskyrkan to Waxholms kastell we made a short stop for some quick photos in the grass just beside the main road. We didn't really have that much time and this mini session took only 10 minutes. The photos below were actually shot in less than 6 minutes according to the exif-information from my camera!

This is the first time I have shot wedding photos hanging out through the back seat window of my own car! Do you wonder who drove my car? I guess it's a reasonable question and many thanks to the driver of the wedding car who took my place in my car so I could get photos of the couple on their way to Waxholm.

Yes, it was a very windy day! Wind, a huge wedding dress and a veil can sometimes be a troublesome combination, but it also gives a lot of opportunities for me as a photographer!

As I said, work with the wind instead of against it! This bride definately knew how she should do it!

Last but not least, a warm hug and many thanks to Malin Mauritsen who assisted me during this wedding! We have been friends for a couple of years but it's always to long between the times when we can see each other, because she moved to Germany some time ago. She still has an (old!) Swedish web site and I really look forward to her new one! She is about to start her German business and if you need a wedding photographer in Germany I recommend you to contact her (that is if you don't want me to go there of course :-))!

VIP Wedding - Perfect love in black & white

A couple of days ago I posted photos from Alexandra's and Joacim's very intimate wedding at Arlanda and I really thought that was it. But, while going through all of their photos and preparing their client gallery I realized I just have to share a few more! Alexandra and Joacim have asked for a majority of photos in b/w, which reflects also on this post. The ceremony took place in the VIP area at Arlanda airport and I was honored to be one of the two witnesses required by law.

As I told you in my earlier post Alexandra hadn't seen neither the wedding rings nor the flowers before the wedding. Guess if she loved to see the bling for the first time!

Having a wedding photo session in a crowded public area is special, the bride and groom just have to enjoy the cheering and congratulations from people passing by!

A very intimate love story, wedding at Arlanda airport

I think an airport wedding could have a very romantic feeling and that certainly was the case when Alexandra and Joacim got married at Arlanda. Tomorrow morning, or actually later today (the time is past midnight), they will take off for a flight to paradise and their private time when they became husband and wife couldn't have been more perfect! Alexandra's beautiful dress is from KIK Stockholm and, believe it or not, her wedding rings were chosen by Joacim and she hadn't even seen them before the wedding! I have to say that her beloved has excellent taste!

The photo below is from the moment when they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day, so sweet!

A modern bride with model talent and a sense of fashion!

When I met Anna before her wedding she told me that the dress was an important part of her wedding. Later, when I saw it on her wedding day, I instantly knew that she has a unique sense of style and wanted to have something more than the ordinary, just look at these photos!

Usually I try to avoid bright sun for portraits but when I had a bride like this in front of the camera there was no doubt I had to go for some fashion inspired photos with a genuine model feeling to them. All photos are shot with Canon 5D EOS MarkII (as always) and Canon 100 mm f2.8 macro (yes, it's actually also a great portrait lens!) wide open, the close up portrait 1/4000 s and the other portrait 1/2500. Only natural light, i.e. no fill light, bouncers, reflectors etc.

A Lindísima day that's all about YOU and photography !

I love portrait photography. I love weddings. I love people and from other areas of expertise I know I love to teach. So, could this maybe be combined in any way? Well, I have thought about that for some time and recently I dived into the new and unknown and actually said "Yes" to one of the many requests I get by e-mail and phone! So, last week I spent an afternoon talking about my workflow and post processing with a photographer who wants to develop his photography and take it a step forward. But honestly, we spent most of the time talking about how HE works, what he does good and what could be done in a smarter way. And yes, even though he had learnt a lot and was really happy when he left I realized that I also felt great and that I wanted to do that kind of private session talking about photography again! So, here's the deal.

I offer a private session that could be about anything as long as it has to do with photography. YOU decide the topic and I will answer any question you have if I can. If you want to go outside to shoot portraits of a model, that's fine. If you want to learn more about the basics of photography, I'll give you an individually designed crash course based on your recent level of knowledge. If you want to talk about the photography business, how to start and for instance the eternal question about pricing, I would love to share my experience with you. If you want to learn more about my workflow after a wedding or another photo shoot, well, then I'll tell you. Basicly, YOU are in charge and decide what we should do during our time together! And don't forget, a private session like this might also be the perfect gift for someone interested in photography and you can of course book this experience as a present for someone you care for!

Private sessions are available in Solna/Stockholm on weekdays (if we don't decide otherwise). You can book 3 or 5 hours, pricing 2,800/4,400 SEK incl. VAT. If you book a session together with one friend you'll both get 30% off and if you book a session with two friends (maximum) you'll all get 40% off. If you're interested, send me an e-mail at info@lindisima.se.

And don't forget that you can buy a gift voucher for a session to someone who wants to learn more about photography!

The photo above? It's from a wedding 3 July with many trigger happy photographers among the guests in church!

Och ja, självklart kommer jag normalt sett att prata svenska även om jag skriver allt på bloggen på engelska!
