I know I don't get the wedding invitations to the weddings I am shooting because I am a regular guest. But, it doesn't matter! I still think it's nice to get a personally address and nicely made card in my mailbox and it says that the bride and groom actually cares... about me! That makes me look forward to their wedding even more! Some time ago I got this card and tomorrow will be Tanja's and Esa's big day.
Arrive in style - Susanne & Daniel knew how to do it!
Susanne's and Daniel's wedding was all about personal details and their individual style and even I, who have met them just once before, could feel that the wedding was very personal. They got married at Strömma canal, just a short distance from Susanne's family's summer house and it couldn't have been more perfect for them.
I just wrote about the personal details and look at this, Daniel is really into cars and he had racing car cufflinks and his initials on his shirt! The cool watch? It was a present from Susanne!
Susanne loves cherry trees and her nails were just amazing! They were decorated and painted with motives of cherry tree branches. Another special thing with this wedding was that I was told that the family's dog should be with us during a part of the portrait session. How it went? Well, looking at this picture to the right one might wonder if it really is a dog or maybe a special kind of..... rabbit? Just look at those ears, flying upwards, they are awesome!
As my blog header states, this couple knew how to arrive in style! They both used horse power to get there, just slightly different in style, one versus many!
Maybe it's needless to say, but I truly love when wedding couples show their joy and when the guests throw a lot of rose petals at the same time! Photos like this make me smile.
The very sunny day 28 August ended with a perfect late summer evening and when I left the wedding couple and all of the guests I knew they all would have a great night at Strömma Krog & Kanalbar. Susanne and Daniel, I hope you loved every part of the day and my photos!
Classic, yet very personal boudoir photos of a bride
It's really busy season for me now and I have had weddings both Friday and Saturday. I will post some new and fresh wedding photos in a day or two but for now, I show post some photos from one of three boudoir shots this week. I would love to show you her gorgeous face as well, but due to the private theme of this session I won't. But I assure you, there are some amazing head shots as well!
Mexico + Sweden = the cutest redhead 15 month boy ever!
I photographed Marie a couple of years ago and was thrilled when she called me and said I would get the chance to do it again! There was one major difference though, because this time we all knew that nor she, nor her husband, would have the leading roll during the shoot. Instead, that part definately was played by their cute and very photo friendly son Anton. And yes, I do love colours but I have to say that most of you probably think that I have enhanced the colours more than I have. I promise, except for my slightly carrot coloured sister (I love it!), I have never seen such intense red hair colour as Anton's. My Swedish blonde hair is nothing but boring in comparison!
Boudoir photos with a sexy, yet very classy feeling
A preview from when Ann became Mrs Rihani!
Yesterday I headed to Rånäs slott, confident that it's a place for great weddings and great wedding couples! And, I was right! Again, I remembered that this bride to be had told me earlier she never ever looks good at photos. But such comments only makes it even more fun to shoot because I know that all my brides - and this isn't just a saying, I assure you! - will look gorgeous! A perfect dress, nice hair and a lovely birdcage did a lot for her looks but the most important ingredient to become this stunning was of course her love for Sam and having all of their families and friends with them on their wedding day!
And what about the groom? Well, he was cool, relaxed and had some amazing details to lay your eyes on as well.
As always I had a great assistant with me, this time it was Özgür Engüzel who helped me carry all my equipment, parked my car and acted like my third (and fourth) hand throughout the day. Thanks!
Happy wedding day with the family..... 50 years later!
About three weeks ago I wrote a post about my and my husband's five years wedding anniversary. This couple from Germany has also been married for five years..... multiplied by 10! They got married in 1960 and came to Sweden with their family during the really hot weeks in July when I met with them for some family portraits. Looking at their photos makes me happy and really gives me inspiration for tomorrow's wedding!
Emma's & Magnus' wedding day at Rånäs 31 July
I will soon upload Emma's and Magnus' private web gallery from their fantastic wedding day and I want to share some of the photos with you! They will have a hard job selecting their favourites!
Emma had prepared a surprise for her bridesmaids, a gift for each of them! The cute bags held pearls for them both!
I just love the red wall and this sofa on the second floor of Rånäs and having a wedding couple looking this great sitting at it isn't bad either!
This photo below is also one of my favourites from the day.
They got married in the small chapel close to Rånäs castle and scroll down to see how the wedding couple and all the guests got back to Rånäs!
This is the proud newly weds' classic ride to the venue.....
..... and this is how transport the cattle.... oh, sorry, the guests of course! I love it!
My friend Pernilla, the most beautiful bride ever seen!
First of all, Pernilla is gorgeous, in every way. Secondly, her love for Tor-Harald made her glow even more and completely regardless of the fact that she is my friend, I have to say that she was T.H.E. most beautiful bride ever when she said "I do" and became Mrs! I wasn't the official portrait photographer yesterday because Pernilla is not only my friend, she is also friend and relative to my friend and colleague Jenny Hammar. I suppose you will be able to see Jenny's portait on her blog later on (and I will later post some I took as well) but for now I can show you some photos from Pernilla's preparations just to prove to you what I said about how gorgeous she looks!
This time I also want to say something extra about Mia Högfeldt, hair stylist and make-up artist. If you ever need to look stunning, I strongly advice you to contact her, she was absolutely great! Apart from being great for brides, she works a lot with beauty and fashion photography and she is also chief editor at Gazet.
Pernilla didn't want to wear a veil but she did wish to do something extra to get the bridal touch. So, I and Jenny suggested that she should go for a birdcage or a coiffe and she did! Nevertheless, it isn't easy to find a coiffe that matches perfectly with a special dress so I asked if I could make one for her as a gift. And she said yes! So, I did two similar versions for her to choose from and you can see the one she went for on the photo below, handmade by me! What happened with the one she didn't pick? Well, I still have it so if you want to buy it, contact me!
Having breakfeast or early lunch at a table full of make-up, hair products and other bridal stuff? Well, if you're the father of the bride you may have to deal with it!
Midnight post processing - a dream wedding
I haven't had time to publish a full blog post from Emma's and Magnus' wedding simply because I have so many photos to go through and I haven't been able to select just a few! I still have plenty of photos to work with, yet I just have to shut down the computer now because it's past midnight. But before I say good night to you, I want to post these photos from Rånäs castle which I truly love! And yes, I love both Rånäs and the photos!
